Her original play, APOSTROPHE 68, ran at The Company of Angels and won an award from Women in Theatre. She toured and performed over 20 original works with Theatre Education Center (TEC, Inc), which performed extensively on the East Coast. ![]() She also recently appeared in I GELOSI with Helsinki West, has worked at The Company of Angels, William Alderson Theatre, as well as others. In Los Angeles she most recently appeared in SPEED OF DARKNESS at the Riverstreet Theatre, at The Road in the second cast of THE LYONS FOUR CHAMBERS, WHITE GUY ON THE BUS (second cast) JOHN GABRIEL BORKMAN THE BUTCHER OF BARABOO, as well as several other productions including her one-woman show, SMORGASBORD. JANET CHAMBERLAIN appeared Off-Broadway with The Working Theatre, Intar and The Clurman Theatre. He is the proud father of 16 year old twins. His own studies include two years at Descanso Garden’s Master Class in Horticulture, yoga, Tai Chi and ten years with the legendary director and teacher Jose Quintero. He teaches a professional Scene Study workshop and often guest lectures on acting for various schools. He has an MA in American Literature and Creative Writing and is a proud member of the Mystery Writers of America. He was co-director of Development for the Wesley School in its first years of existence, and is a graduate of the LA Grantsmanship Institute. His directing credits include AS WHITE AS O and the world premiere of Mark Eisman’s SHOVE at the Road (LA Weekly Best Director nomination). Other local work includes: Odyssey Theatre (ROAD TO NIRVANA – LA Weekly Best Actor), TAKING SIDES, RHINOCEROS, David Mamet’s EDMOND – LA Weekly, Backstage West Awards) LATC, where Sam originated the role of Finney in Marlene Meyer’s KINGFISH and was directed by Simon Callow in Milan Kundera’s JACQUES AND HIS MASTER. Road credits include his Ovation-winning leading turn as the father in NAPOLI MILLIONARIA, THE BIRD & MISTER BANKS (Ovation nomination). ![]() His role as the arrogant cardiologist Dr. ![]() Tom Paine, head of NASA, and Stephen King’s THE STAND as Whitney. Fonzie in FRIENDS, the befuddled FBI agent in EVERYBODY LOVES RAYMOND, as well as his participation in “event” television projects FROM THE EARTH TO THE MOON as Dr. In a film and television career spanning thirty years and close to 200 roles, some of his favorites are the Principal in FORREST GUMP, the lethal attorney Holland Manners in ANGEL, Donna’s racist father in LA BAMBA, Dr. Sam is most recently known as Bernard on ABC’s megahit LOST. Sam serves as Co-Artistic Director of The Road Theatre Company as well as a member of the Artistic Board. ![]()
